This position is responsible for all production, teams and respective production programs at the site. The individual is responsible for ensuring proper management of the production activities and operations in adherence to all compliance regulations to achieve the annual production plan.
The role will provide effective, routine performance management to the production colleagues and will work closely with all enabling functions to ensure proper coordination for resources and supplies to effectively and successfully execute against a production plan.
Role:
Leads the development of the annual production strategy, which includes proper planning and alignment of resources, time, and materials to achieve the site production plan.
Routinely interacts with site teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Technical Services, Engineering, EHS, OpEx, & Training) to ensure alignment of objectives, priorities and projects that impact production planning/execution.
Coaches and Develops Prod. Supervisors, Medical Device Prod. Process Specialist, Prod. Process Technical Specialist, Prod. Support specialist and Team Rotational Developmental techs. to ensure the health and success of the team (develops the team).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Institution in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent job-relevant experience in production (15+ years).
Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO13485 regulations applicable to the medical device industry.
Breadth of Operations & Maintenance Knowledge:
Very strong understanding of the contributions and functions of multiple trades allowing for optimal management of complex projects.
In-depth Operations planning /management knowledge with regards to resource, time and material allocations to achieve a production plan.
Knowledge of Engineering principles applied to design, operation and maintenance of production mechanical and electrical equipment.
Working knowledge of Planning and implementations:
Capable of developing a plan and gaining alignment with interfaces.
Capable of reviewing vendor plans, documentation and providing oversight guidance during all phases of the execution process.
Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects and/or activities at one time and bring them to completion.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize.
Resource Management:
Can coordinate work needs with others for gaining resources for strategic improvements.
Maintains continuous awareness of potential conflict situations. Adjusts systems processes to minimize conflicts.

Skilled at negotiating with vendors and contractors.
Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety:
Strong Knowledge of ISO, OSHA, associated internal audit, and EH&S requirements.
Monitors overall job for cGMP, EH&S aspects and understands the risks and liabilities associated with various manufacturing activities. Can communicate and mitigate those risks.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Needs to be able to sit/stand/walk in both office environment and production floor/lab/warehouse settings.
Non-standard work schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements
Needs to be able to support a 24/7 operation.
