Memnon Archiving Services, an ES Broadcast Company, is a world leader in providing digitization services of audio-visual media archives. Memnon supports the owners of audio-visual collections (from broadcasters, sports organizations, cultural institutions, libraries and universities) and offers a wide range of services and solutions designed to digitize, restore, preserve and provide access to the audio-visual content in any format.
The Memnon Imaging Operator will be responsible for capturing metadata on media by imaging the item. The Imaging Operator will work with other Memnon operators, studio supervisors, and management to ensure the inventory check-in, imaging and movement to and from production are efficient and meet quality standards.
Operational and technical responsibilities:
Scans in each piece of client media via a barcode
Maintains a level of accurate physical organization
Produces digital images of each object which capture any metadata present
Masters the functionality of our imaging hardware including the Czur scanning stations, flatbed scanners, and DSLR cameras.
Ensures images meet quality standards - images should be free of glare, have even lighting, and proper alignment of any text present and to avoid skew.
Assists in the movement of objects to and from studios if needed.
Administrative duties
Sets goals in collaboration with management and studio supervisors
Audits and reports inventory discrepancies if found
Manages time to meet production throughput goals within defined schedule.
Make suggestions for new technology and equipment when necessary.
Interfaces with management, studio supervisors, operations staff
Minimum education:
All applicants should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Written and verbal fluency in English
Minimum experience:
Familiarity with barcodes and barcode scanning
Familiarity with inventory control practices, scanners, and cameras
Comfortable using inventory software and other organizational computer applications.
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel is preferred
