Manager, Legal & Regulatory Affairs, Office of the General Counsel
Position summary
Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide logistical support to the General Counsel (GC) and members of the legal team.
What you'll do
Prepare memoranda on legal and regulatory issues for the GC and the legal team.
Field questions from association member companies and coordinate responses with legal staff.
Attend committee meetings and meetings with allied trade associations to gather and disseminate information on assigned projects.
Work with the events team to help coordinate the annual legal conference.
Participate in educational conferences related to work assignments.
Assist the legal department staff with administrative operations and support to meet department needs.
What you'll need to succeed (requirements)
3+ years of legal and regulatory research and administrative experience in a law firm, Capitol Hill, trade association, or nonprofit.
Demonstrated ability to draft accurate and concise content from research findings for distribution to attorneys and members/clients.
Excellent research and writing skills.
Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail.
Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Flexibility for 2 - 4 overnight trips each year.
Familiarity with the FDA and consumer goods industry a plus.
Law degree, paralegal certification, or legal certification preferred.
