Avoca Search is proud to be partnering with Jefferson in the recruitment of a Vice President, Enterprise Strategic Planning. Jefferson seeks a transformational and mission-oriented leader to facilitate and coordinate the planning efforts across Jefferson Health, Jefferson Health Plans and Thomas Jefferson University. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Enterprise Chief Strategy & Administrative Officer, the Vice President will work with senior leadership across Jefferson to define strategies in support of growth across the entire system, drive implementation of market strategies to achieve system goals, and provide leadership through the exploration, development, execution, and maintenance of a comprehensive strategic planning process. The Vice President will look to optimize outcomes, grow loyalty, inspire talent, build community, and embrace collaboration. They will foster continuous improvement of existing plans and strategies, identify and implement new strategies to meet the mission of the enterprise, and integrate and coordinate business unit plans within overarching enterprise plans.

Jefferson Health Plans is a not-for-profit managed health care organization providing a broad range of health coverage options in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for more than 35 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned strategic planning leader to join the leadership team of a $9.7 billion integrated healthcare network anchored by a world-class academic medical center and a nationally ranked university. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the development of Jefferson's strategic planning and business development processes.
Candidates must be skilled navigators of complex organizational and leadership structures with multiple business units and possess a sophisticated understanding of the drivers, trends, and forces that impact health care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge and expertise in project management, quality improvement, and a proven ability in the development and facilitation of planning sessions with senior level executives, directors/trustees, and other stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree is strongly preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years senior level healthcare management experience with demonstrated leadership in strategic and business planning, financial planning and analysis, and program development within a complex, multi-unit, integrated healthcare organization is required. Experience in an academic setting and/or with insurance plans will be a plus.
