Position Overview: We seek a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in-person as a Part-Time or Full-Time Scholarship Coordinator based in Clearwater, Florida. The Scholarship Coordinator will play a key role in administering the BAES Award Program, managing all aspects of communication and administration related to college-level scholarships ranging from a one-time $2,000 merit award to $10,000 annually renewable scholarships. This will be Monday-Friday with the potential requirement of availability for one weekend per month for special events or activities.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for scholarship applicants, providing guidance and assistance throughout the application process
• Review scholarship applications and ensure compliance with eligibility criteria and submission requirements
• Coordinate the selection process, ensuring all necessary information is received from each applicant in good order
• Communicate decisions to scholarship recipients and provide support for any additional documentation or requirements
• Maintain accurate records of scholarship recipients, payments, and related correspondence
• Collaborate with internal teams to create social media marketing
• Coordinate phone calls with students and university contacts to establish scholarship opportunities that do not displace existing aid
• Monitor scholarship funds and assist with budget management and reporting as needed
• Act as a professional communicator, representing the organization positively and professionally when interacting with students, university representatives, mentors, and the public
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the Black American Engineering Scholarship Award to eligible candidates, including outreach to universities, engineering programs, and relevant community organizations

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required (Education, Communications, Business Administration, etc.)
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Demonstrate sensitivity, tact, and professionalism in dealing with others
• Energetic and outgoing
• Familiarity with engineering education and/or scholarship programs is a plus
• Volunteer experience a plus

• Competitive salary starting at $40,000 annually for a full-time associate and $20,000 annually for a part-time associate, depending on experience.
