Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a rapidly growing cosmetics brand based in New York who are seeking a Demand Planner for North America to drive operational and commercial excellence. This role involves forecasting, data analysis, commercial modeling, and providing insights to enable effective decision-making across North America's retail distribution. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a proactive and efficient approach to commercial and internal operations.

Demand Planner - Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for North America retail distribution at a SKU level, utilizing statistical models and other forecasting techniques.
  • Review insights and KPIs with leadership and the Operations team to monitor patterns, uncover risks, and identify opportunities in the sales plan.
  • Partner with retailers' planning teams to identify opportunities, address inconsistencies, and share analysis.
  • Own the latest demand estimate on a weekly basis and communicate it to global Demand and Supply teams.
  • Work closely with the supply chain and logistics team to maintain adequate inventory levels in the forecast tool to meet demand.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key metrics and KPIs to leadership and senior management.
  • Lead commercial analysis of key moments and promotions to understand their impact on the business.
  • Monitor and evaluate actual sales data to adjust and update demand forecasts as needed.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining workflows, and optimizing inventory management.

Demand Planner- Requirements:
  • Experience in demand planning and commercial analysis, supply chain, or logistics
  • Preferably experience within the beauty or consumer products industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Experience with forecasting tools and software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and implement process improvements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
