Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Otolaryngology department, ensuring the highest patient care and clinical excellence standards.
Oversee the department's daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, promoting professional growth and development among staff members.
Collaborate with other department heads and medical staff to improve the overall quality of patient care and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
Maintain an active clinical practice, providing specialized care in Otolaryngology and keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field.
Actively participate in medical education and mentorship activities, including teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.
Engage in research activities, promoting evidence-based practices and contributing to advancing Otolaryngology knowledge.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Otolaryngology.
Current valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Proven leadership experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
Strong clinical skills and expertise in Otolaryngology, committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to education and the advancement of medical knowledge.
Research experience and a track record of scholarly activity in the field are desirable.
