Position Overview:
The Jr. Business Continuity Analyst, in conjunction with the Business Continuity Coordinators and Manager, supports the Business Continuity and Crisis Management functions of the New York Branch. This role will execute duties associated with the Business Continuity Program in the Planning Department, and become a productive member of the team, able to assume any role during a business continuity event.
Duties/Responsibilities
Support the business in the review and update process of documentation required for the Program, including but not limited to:
Department Business Continuity Plans
Business Impact Analysis
Crisis Management Plan
Pandemic Plan
Provide coordination and direction for the execution of tests and exercises, including but not limited to:
Draft the Tabletop Exercise documentation
Work Area Recovery Site testing
Business participation in Disaster Recovery Tests
Emergency Notification System Tests
Issue identification and resolution
After Action Reporting for above exercises and tests
Develop and maintain Program curriculum with Business Continuity Coordinator, including but not limited to:
Create the annual calendar of requirements
Revise policy, procedures, and manuals as needed
Prepare reporting for executive management and BC Management Meetings, as well as the BC Working Group
Manage the SharePoint site of BCM
Leverage prior experience to support the enhancement and improvement of current program by:
Identify gaps in current Program deliverables
Recommend improvements to the overall Program curriculum
Support the implementation of new deliverables
Responsible for handling Crisis Management tasks, including but not limited to:
Monitor the environment for potential risks to the business
Liaison with business departments during live events
Complete and provide Situational Reports to the Crisis Management Team
Track actions and issues that arise during the event through close
Draft After Action Reports as required
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related work experience
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience assisting with Business Continuity efforts
Working knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery Planning techniques
Business Continuity certification (i.e. ABCP) strongly preferred
