Assist in the design and execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing critical journal entries and performing key account reconciliations; focus areas are likely to include accounting for fixed assets, leases, and period-end accruals
Partner with leaders in the Research and Development teams to develop and maintain robust accrued CMO and CRO expense models, especially for quarter-end accruals.
Act as a backfill and provide additional support for the procure-to-pay process, which will go live in Coupa on June 1st
Play a leadership role in developing SOX documentation across all areas of responsibility and participate in walkthroughs with the auditors for relevant cycles
Contribute to preparing PBCs for quarterly reviews and year-end audits and responding to auditor questions promptly.
Your Experience
An undergraduate degree or evidence of significant work in accounting required
At least five years of relevant accounting experience in industry, with at least two years of audit experience
CPA certification preferred
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly translate guidance into action and to demonstrate an ability to produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail independently
Highly collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
Effective oral and written communication skills, particularly when collaborating with other departments with limited knowledge of accounting
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
