Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on enterprise storage technologies and backup solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing both on-premises and cloud environments. This role will also require familiarity with disaster recovery methods and procedures to ensure business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage enterprise storage solutions, particularly those from HPE.
Administer and support VEEAM backup solutions, ensuring regular and reliable backups.
Maintain and optimize on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, conducting regular tests to validate effectiveness.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary updates and patches.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.
Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members and end-users.
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes accurately.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role.
Extensive experience with enterprise storage technologies, specifically HPE solutions.
Strong expertise in VEEAM backup solutions.
Hands on experience implementing Azure storage solutions.
Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to engage with a team while working remotely.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., HPE, VEEAM, Azure, AWS).
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
