Verigent's client is looking for an Avaya Telecom Technician to support a location in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, with appropriate escalation when needed. • Diagnose and isolate faults and remedy equipment failures. • Analyze, review, and recommend configuration information. • Recommend modifications as appropriate and assist with implementation of modifications, including firmware, software, licenses and/or new technologies as may be needed, and with assistance from the 3rd party OEM's, implement and test telecom products such as new hardware or upgraded software to include patches and other product updates. • Attend Customer/Partner meetings if and when required. • Provide updates on all activities carried out. • Maintenance activities to maintain system stability will take precedence over routine daily MACD activities.
Qualifications: • 3-5+ years of Avaya troubleshooting experience. • Experience with Avaya Communication Manager (R7.x or 8 preferred). • Avaya knowledgeable with Vectors, VDNs, and system admin. • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
