Job Description:

JOB TITLE: SAP Technical Lead

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for SAP technical analysis and development.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Engage and partner with internal customers, SAP Functional Analysts, and offshore development team to deliver business systems and processes.
  • Design, guide, and monitor technical development by the team members.
  • Be proficient with various integrations with SAP ECC system using EDI / IDoC and other tools.
  • Be proficient in reporting using SAP BOBJ tools.
  • Enable the design and implementation of solutions across business units for a variety of SAP modules.
  • Drive and articulate the SAP systems roadmap; driving business value by influencing internal customers to use existing investments whenever possible.
  • Engage in project/release scoping discussions with internal customers to understand business requirements and complexity to ensure the appropriate SAP services and capabilities are available.
  • Release (cutover) planning, articulate and resolve timelines for various cutover activities, and serve as technical point and SME for SAP technologies.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and suppliers on systems design, application upgrades, release and project implementations, and capacity management and system performance.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Management Engineering / Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of Project Management and Team coordination experience
  • 5+ years in Consulting IT Companies or IT departments of multinational groups working in similar job positions
  • IT Demand Management experience in a complex environment, with the ability to collect the business requirements and manage the priorities with business stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering comprehensive project-level analysis, generating essential documentation such as business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, plan and coordinating the execution of SIT, UAT and deploy activities
  • Strong knowledge of SAP main modules (SD, MM, FI), EDI integrations (ANSI X12 or EDIFACT formats with AS2 or SFTP protocols)
  • Strong knowledge of middleware integration tools (Talend or Tibco with HTTP, JMS, SOAP or REST protocols)
  • Experience in managing the implementation or evolution of complex SAP projects with the integration of Data platforms or CRM tools
  • Experience in managing the implementation or evolution of complex BI projects with at least one of the following tools: QlikView / Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio
  • Experience with Automotive or Industrial Equipment Industry (a plus!)
