Cloud Cyber Security Program Manager

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cyber Security Program Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee and manage our cyber security initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with organizational goals and comply with regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and manage security projects, particularly those leveraging cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security program management, cyber risk and controls, and organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cyber Security Program Management: Lead and manage multiple cyber security programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Cyber Risk & Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain cyber risk management frameworks and controls in accordance with regulatory requirements such as NYDFS, NIST, and other relevant standards. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Cloud Security: Oversee the implementation of security-related projects leveraging cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Ensure that cloud-based solutions are secure, compliant, and effectively integrated into the overall security posture of the organization.
  • Organizational Transformation: Lead and support initiatives related to organizational transformation. Work effectively in a transforming environment and contribute to change management processes. Provide guidance and support to teams undergoing transformation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT, compliance, and business units, to ensure alignment and support for cyber security initiatives. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Propose and implement improvements to our security programs and processes.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cyber security program management, IT program management, or related roles. Proven experience with NYDFS, NIST, and other cyber risk and control frameworks.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud security and experience implementing security projects using cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, PMP) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cloud Certifications: Relevant cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of NYDFS, NIST, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

Organizational Transformation: Experience in managing or participating in organizational transformation initiatives.
