The Systems Engineer Candidate provides technical advice to client personnel.
This position also requires superior customer service skills, which include communication, collaboration, follow-through, and proactive problem solving, resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.
The Systems Engineer duties and tasks are standard with some variation.
The ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
He/She should display understanding of roles, processes, and procedures.
Normally this position will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
This position performs moderately complex problem solving with some assistance and guidance.
The Systems Engineer should complete their own tasks, primarily, independently within defined policies and procedures.
Requires 5+ years' experience in a technical support environment. Attainment of one or more IT related certifications.
Working knowledge of PC/laptop hardware architecture.
Working knowledge of DOS/Windows suite and LAN composition.
LAN experience with Ethernet technology. (10base2, 10baseT, 100baseT), Protocol experience including TCPIP, IPX/SPX, NetBIOS, and experience with dial-up technologies.
