Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a leading Personal Care Product Manufacturer seeking a Vice President of Quality.
The Vice President of Quality will lead, guide, and mentor the Quality departments (QA, QC, and Regulatory) to achieve site objectives aligned with corporate goals. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, cGMPs, and standards for manufacturing and controlling both cosmetic and OTC drug products.
Responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
Lead and oversee all aspects of the Quality Assurance program.
Interpret and integrate regulatory requirements for the manufacturing of cosmetic and OTC products.
Develop and implement quality systems in compliance with federal regulations (cGMPs).
Establish and maintain QA standards for processes and products.
Create, implement, and evaluate the company's quality policies, standards, procedures, and strategic plans.
Review and approve quality system documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, product specification changes, bill of materials (BOM), and validation documentation.
Establish inspection and sampling requirements for validation and production release.
Maintain the OTC Master Drug List.
Engage with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies concerning the quality program.
To be considered for the role, the following education, experience and qualifications are required:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of QA/QC experience in OTC drugs and cosmetic manufacturing or similar industry.
Minimum of 5 years of direct supervision of QA/QC team members.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintaining GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.
