ABOUT THE ROLE:

This company is looking for a Principle Software Engineer to add to their Equipment and Solutions Division apart of the High-Density Interconnect Product Engineering team. In this role you will create prototype developments of this company's newest line of technologies by adding functionality to existing code and algorithms to enhance and include new subsystems. This position requires skills that combine hands-on development of software for real-time machine control and demonstrated knowledge of mechanical system dynamics with feedback control.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering major (SW, ME, EE) or Physics, including 8 years of experience in test for mechanical system control applications or software design.

* Software development proficiency in C++ or C# for real-time system control hardware.

* Hands-on experience with integration-test and debugging of machine control software and firmware.

* Thorough comprehension of mechanical and thermal dynamic systems.

PREFERENCES:

* Familiarity with data collection analysis, including presentation in Matlab, Python, Excel, etc.

* Experience with lab testing, including sensors, oscillators, and data loggers

* Analog and digital dynamic system modeling and control system design

* Error budgeting, calibration algorithms, statistical analysis

* Vibration theory, test, and analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Collaborate with diverse development teams to plan and integrate prototype designs in to new products.

* Interface across engineering teams (EE, ME, SW, Applications, Optics) to create and enhance concepts for the next generation system-level solutions.

* Architect and integrate control software for electro-mechanical motion systems, laser/optic sensors, and thermal control.

SCHEDULE:

Hybrid: Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday and Friday from home. *System integration days and urgent maintenance matters will require all team members to work onsite.

PAY: Dependent on experience
