The Senior Consultant is responsible for technical project delivery of all sizes from customer requirements to completion. This role involves designing IT solutions for customers regarding a wide variety of networking, hardware, and software components. The Senior Consultant is accountable for assessing current IT environments, creating new ones, and providing expert guidance and support to ensure IT systems operate efficiently and securely. Additionally, this position represents the company and contributes to business development and pre-sales activities.
Sr. Consultant Responsibilities:
Ensure seamless implementation and adoption of IT solutions for customers.
Empower clients to make informed decisions by providing expert guidance on design considerations regarding networking and hardware business tools.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering comprehensive solutions, direction, and expertise.
Champion workflow and process improvement strategies, fostering operational efficiency and enhanced revenue generation.
Mentor and develop fellow associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaborate with the sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless internal and external communication and alignment on objectives, resources, deliverables, and schedules.
Manage the day-to-day project execution, including technical design, deployment, communications, and documentation. Monitor timelines, budgets, and recommend necessary changes to objectives, resources, deliverables, and schedules.
Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls, to protect client systems and data.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of client IT environments, configurations, and procedures.
Present solutions to clients, effectively communicating advantages, challenges, and tradeoffs associated with different options. Present in various formats to diverse audiences including C-Suite executives, technical and functional decision-makers, and project team members.
Assist the leadership team in generating proposals, quotes, invoices, and other project-related documentation. Partner to develop and facilitate process improvements.
Interact with external partners and vendors to ensure products are delivered and client technology is delivered on schedule.
Lead multiple diverse projects concurrently. Utilize experience, knowledge, and education to facilitate problem-solving as appropriate.
Sr. Consultant Requirements:
3-5 years of networking, server design, and end-user support experience in the IT industry.
Previous experience working in an MSP environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of hardware management, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
Demonstrated ability to construct complex networks, configure firewall rules, and produce network diagrams.
Bachelor's degree in business, IT, software, engineering, or other related discipline, nice to have
Experience with data center migrations, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation.
Hands-on experience with system administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industry-standard security practices and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional team management skills
Travel required, approximately 25%, but may vary with tenure.

Compensation:
Base salary: $80,000-$95,000 depending on qualifications
