Asset Manager (Marine Terminals / Ports)

Location: Newark, New Jersey

Hybrid - 3 days in the office

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager with Marine Terminal / Port experience to join our team. In this role, the Port Asset Manager will manage, administer, and preserve the location and asset data ensuring its accuracy, completeness, integrity, and consistency. The role will maintain the asset and location data base and support the development of the Asset and location hierarchies. Responsibilities include assisting with organizing and restructuring asset and system data (in Asset Data Specification (ADS)/Asset Component Spare Part (ACS) format, analyzing failure data conducting reliability tests, identifying areas for improvements and collaborate with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities for Asset Manager:
• Asset management oversight developing and administering the Client's Department's overall Asset Management goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Manage, administer, and preserve the Client's departments asset data in IBM's Maximo 7.6, 8.4 or 8.5 systems. Overseeing the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and consistency of the asset/location data, conforms to the Asset Data Hierarchy Structure and the client
• Assist with organizing and restructuring asset data (in Asset Data Specification (ADS)/Asset Component Spare Part (ACS) format), job and safety plans, material, and workflows for integration/input in Maximo, in accordance with the client's Department's goals.
• Hierarchy Model within the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Perform project controls consisting of the collection and management of asset/location data for the client's Departments Asset Management Program.
• Coordinate and manage asset/location data delivery from maintenance, capital, and operating projects.
• Support Project Managers (Capital Delivery) in the provisioning of asset data lists and identifying the asset data requirements associated with Capital Projects.
• Manage modifications to asset associated attributes, when assets are replaced/rotated out, refurbished and the asset life and condition is adjusted.
• Establish performance measures for asset management strategies.
• Recommend and implement modifications for the existing procedures and reporting systems that the Asset Management Project team and maintenance use to oversee and control the predictive and preventative maintenance of assets and equipment.
• Training support and recommendations as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, engineering, construction management, accounting, economic or business administration discipline.

2. Working knowledge of maintenance management, infrastructure management, or asset management issues including, but not limited to, key performance measures for maintenance management, condition-based asset management strategies and asset lifecycle considerations.

3. Experience with an asset information framework.

4. Working knowledge and understanding of functional systems.

5. Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project

6. Experience with the management of the QA/QC of asset data in Maximo 7.6, 8.4 or 8.5.

7. An understanding of Port operations, maintenance, or construction contracts.

8. Leadership skills and experience managing a diverse workforce with varying work backgrounds, expertise, and levels.

9. Working knowledge of labor agreements for facility operations and maintenance staff.

10. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive with staff at all levels.

11. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make concise presentations to a variety of audiences.

12. Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

13. Demonstrated experience with any or all the following: Maximo, Assetworks, ESRI Arc GIS Server, Oracle, COGNOS, SAP, BIM, CAD, RFID, SNMP, GPS enabled handheld/tablet.

14. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred/required, as the position will require the travel independently to the various Client facilities.
