Job Description:

Within our 600-person Roswell manufacturing facility, we are seeking a Store Room Supervisor to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels! The Store Room Supervisor provides guidance and direction to a team of hourly employees in the storeroom. Responsible for the accuracy of storeroom inventory, receipts and issue as well cycle count process. Must ensure parts and supply levels are adequate at all time. Expected to make recommendations regarding slow-moving and excess stock decisions pertaining to inventory levels based on usage data. Responsible for the layout and design of the storeroom taking into consideration factors such as stock turnover, size and weight. Expected to build an effective employee team by engaging, mentoring, and developing direct reports.Provides guidance and direction to a team of hourly employees in the storeroom. We Ask Of You To:
  • Plan and schedule daily staffing needs to maximize labor efficiency and ensure needs are met.
  • Lead and coach team employees in the parts room by implementing programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition and internal employee development in order to ensure peak employee engagement and productivity.
  • Build and foster strong working relationships, collaboration within their team and plant teams
  • Develop and communicates employee performance objectives and goals and monitors performance/provides feedback
  • Reinforce company and plant policies fairly and consistently.
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns.
  • Supervise and perform daily store room functions,
  • Manage internal and external parts repair process
  • Track inventory accurately including data entry, inventory counts, and incoming/outgoing parts records.
  • Minimize inbound freight costs and downtime due to lack of timely delivery of procured parts, materials, services, and equipment.
  • Develop KPIs to manage store room performance
  • Manage store room master data to include new parts additions
  • Monitor team operations and makes recommendations for labor and efficiency, cost savings, and inventory improvements.
  • Use data to optimize inventory levels and total inventory dollars
  • Enforce plant safety programs to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety activities
  • Ensure work is accomplished in a safe manner and the workplace is free of safety hazards.
  • Provide employees with the training, equipment, and tools to be able to safely perform their jobs.
  • Lead and demonstrate safe practices.
  • Participate in safety investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure team is following proper GMP and material handling practices.

You Have (Minimum Qualifications):
  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 6 years of store room experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 year of progressive store room leadership experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience, as applicable.
  • Powered industrial truck experience

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Dairy/Cheese manufacturing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies
  • In depth knowledge of inventory controls, ordering, and vendor relations.
  • Experience with industrial maintenance parts identification
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective people management skills.
