Develop and implement a multi-state communications and engagement strategy to educate state/local legislators and other external stakeholders on the critical role DJI products have in advancing small business, public safety and consumer demand in the United States.
Assist with Federal issues as required
Protect and advance DJI's business interests in multiple sectors while serving as a subject matter expert on our products for state legislators and their staff.
Manage state consultants as needed.
Develop and execute communications strategy and provide supporting messaging including economic impact, cybersecurity, public safety and small business impacts as well as providing media relations support to these efforts
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
5 to 10 years of experience in public affairs, communications, or a related field; Experience working with legislators, government agencies, or in a corporate setting dealing with public policy issues.
Strong networking skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including government officials, media, partners, and the public.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in creating compelling content for various platforms including press releases, speeches, social media, and internal communications.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and communicate with diverse groups.
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
