Responsibilities
Work with Senior Management to build a long-term road map of the engineering team.
Help the development team with day-to-day activities and projects, solve challenges, build and improve standards, and help the organization to adhere to the best development practices
Act as a coach for the technical teams by providing direction, functional and technical training, and technical expertise.
Work side by side with Architects to introduce modern software development practices for the entire software development lifecycle and help introduce these to the organization.
Give architectural recommendations, and design major components of the architecture, including APIs, user interface, and middleware.
Advocate, document, and enforce best engineering practices, design and implementation principles, and coding standards; drive high quality in all phases of software development.
Work with customers and collect requirements, define and communicate technical requirements, architecture, and design.
Requirements
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
Over 15 years of experience with atleast 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity
Deep experience in agile software development life cycle, practices, and tools (coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, QA)
Ability to coach team members in technical skills and provide advice and assistance on project management, time management, coding, and testing
10+ years of experience in Software Development, Design, and Testing
3-5 years of combined experience architecting, designing, and implementing multi-tiered software applications
Previous experience in programming languages such as Java .NET, .NET Core, Angular/ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.
Experience in taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Experience working on complex business problems and providing technical solutions that are effective, creative, and efficient.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Strong experience in MS Azure or AWS
Good knowledge of relational data models, SQL, and RDBMS (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
