We are seeking an impact-driven, meticulous, entrepreneurial, high-energy, and hands-on leader with a can-do attitude who thrives on excellence and drives results. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for overseeing accounting, administration, finance, treasury, payroll, cash management, taxes, HR, and office management activities for this technology marketplace and its related entities.
This is an on-premise position based in West Los Angeles.

Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
Inventory
Bank Accounts
Expense Reports and Expense Management
Credit Cards
Payroll Outsourcing
Month-End/Period Closing
Financial Reporting
Budgeting
Local, State, and Federal Tax Reporting and Compliance
Office Management
Insurance and Risk Management
Fixed Assets
ERP/Accounting Systems
Operational Efficiency
Additionally, the role requires providing sound advice, participating in strategic and operational meetings, and proposing and implementing improvements to the company's accounting systems, policies, operations, management controls, and financial matters.

Other qualities include the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with constantly evolving priorities and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business from a competitive university
MBA or CPA preferred
Experience building world-class finance and accounting functions
High analytical and critical thinking skills
Leads with humility and consistency
Expertise in GAAP and B2B accounting, with proficiency in business operations and best practices of accounting and administration, including A/R, A/P, Payroll, Financial Statements, Monthly Closings, Tax Compliance, and Inventory Reconciliation
Impeccable attention to detail
Tech-savvy with familiarity in ERP software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Dynamics GP, NetSuite, or similar
Significant experience in improving operations, developing standards, analyzing information, and simplifying complex processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and achieve results in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including a great sense of humor and extraordinary people and customer-service skills
Ability to maintain composure, confidentiality, exercise discretion, and make sound professional judgments under heavy workloads and tight deadlines
Strong math and analytical skills
Ability to wear multiple hats and function without support staff, yet comfortable growing and managing a team in the future
Ability to travel on short notice
Experience in entrepreneurial and fast-growth environments
Ability to function independently as the initial sole finance and accounting professional with ability to recruit, develop and manage a team in the near future
