Selby Jennings is partnered with an elite natural gas marketing firm who just experienced a record year and is targeting a strategic growth hire on their Risk team. This role will be reporting into the firm's Head of Risk who has an exceptional track record of building incredibly high-performing teams, which has led to significant lateral & vertical mobility within the firm.

Responsibilities:
Generate, measure, and report forward position and associated mark-to-market ("MTM")
Prepare daily report of underlying risk exposures, and provide insight into MTM changes
Monitor and report daily VaR for the consolidated portfolio, as well as specific business units. As needed, describe/explain underlying market analysis supporting statistical result
As needed, perform back testing, scenario analysis, stress test, and performance analysis to explain MTM drivers.
Perform daily derivative reconciliation with Clearing Counterparties
Maintain consistent and open dialogue with Front Office and the Executive Management Team
Where necessary, develop new procedures and controls
Ensure complex transactions are accurately captured
Work with other stakeholders to ensure analytical requests and associated reports are met in timely manner
Monitor trade input and measure transactions against trader delegations
Qualifications:
MUST have intermediate to advanced knowledge of natural gas, NGL, or Crude Oil price deconstruction and risk decomposition (Natural Gas is HIGHLY preferred)
2-6 years of experience within a Risk/Middle Office function supporting natural gas, NGL, or crude oil trading activities, or related function
Technical skillset including: VBA, PowerBI, and ETRM
