Your Mission

The ABK SOX team is part of Microsoft's Financial Compliance Group (FCG) within the corporate accounting organization. We are responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance across all Activision, Blizzard, and King entities, supporting Microsoft FCG. The IT SOX Manager will be responsible for guiding various partners in driving the year-round SOX compliance program.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:
  • Along with the Business Process SOX Manager, lead and implement the year-round SOX program. Typical activities include:
  • Audit planning and scoping, including SOX risk assessment (identify relevant IT risks and performing top-down risk-based scoping).
  • Planning and conducting efficient process walkthroughs with SOX partners and developing high-quality narratives and process flow diagrams.
  • Assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including key reports/IPC.
  • Identifying and evaluating control issues and process improvement opportunities.
  • Communicating results/findings to team leadership and SOX partners and working with management to develop pragmatic solutions to issues.
  • Following up on the implementation of management's action plans and providing ongoing support to management in timely remediation/implementation of action plans.
  • Acting as the go-to liaison for ABK IT SOX audit.
  • Prepare high-quality audit workpapers. Review staff auditors' work for quality control and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship within ABK and Microsoft audit teams, with external audit and the wider business.
  • Maintain current understanding of IT audit/technology developments and emerging risks, and proactively identify IT risks and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain current understanding of the SEC and PCAOB guidelines, industry trends as well as companywide initiatives and changes, and provide SOX advice to partners on system implementations, policy changes, and regulatory and compliance change, etc.
  • Coach, mentor, and continuously support staff auditors for their individual development and team success.
  • Give actionable insights to improve SOX compliance execution, cross-team collaboration, and audit efficiency. Actively support knowledge sharing and thought leadership within the ABK and Microsoft audit teams, and with external networks.

Player Profile
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent. 6-8 years of professional working experience required; 2-3 years of Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented. Can work on multiple workstreams with minimal direction and consistently delivering quality work by agreed deadlines.
  • A diligent and effective manager who leads by example, demonstrates strong personal credibility and integrity, and mentors a team to achieve high profile and dynamic objectives.
  • Can demonstrate proven project management skills and in-depth knowledge of risk assessment, internal controls, SOX methodology, and typical GRC/audit management software (e.g., AuditBoard).
  • Effective presence and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to adapt to the audience across all levels of the organization.
  • Can demonstrate proven understanding of:
  • Integrated audit that considers the interdependencies of IT/system, financial and operational controls in establishing an effective internal control environment.
  • IT processes - including applications and infrastructure, change management, asset management, business continuity and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
  • Key concepts related to information systems audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls and technology risks.
  • Risk and controls frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO27000 and CIS.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle R12 and related infrastructure preferred.
  • Stay curious and embrace opportunities for professional development.
  • An understanding and passion for the gaming industry a plus.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
