Python Developer - Commodity Trading - Houston - Up to $170,000 + 30% Bonus + Package
Cititec Talent has partnered with a global commodities firm who are looking for a talented Python Developer to join their cutting-edge technology team. In this position, you will be designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, to design and develop systems for middle and back-office commodities trading applications. This opportunity will also play a pivotal part in contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of these applications.
Experience
5-10 years of development experience, preferably in financial applications
Strong Python required, along with experience with pandas
To be able to build multithreaded applications and service-oriented architecture
Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging middleware like Kafka
Familiarity with API-based solutions, such as FastAPI, and DevOps tools including basic AWS knowledge like Kubernetes
Proficient in object-oriented programming languages with strong debugging skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar certification
