The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.
Responsibilities
NYDFS Compliance:
Understand the specific requirements outlined in NYDFS 500.16 (a) (2), interpret impact for current BCP and DR plans.
Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to meet these requirements.
Prepare documentation for regulatory audits and examinations.
Business Continuity Planning (BCP):
Review and update comprehensive BCP policies, procedures, and documentation.
Conduct risk assessments to identify critical business processes and dependencies.
Collaborate with business units to create actionable BCP strategies.
Disaster Recovery (DR):
Review and implement effective DR plans, including data backup, failover, and system recovery.
Coordinate regular DR testing exercises to validate readiness.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure infrastructure resilience.
Monitor and report on DR performance metrics.
Testing and Simulation:
Review and execute comprehensive test plans for BCP and DR.
Conduct tabletop exercises and simulations to assess response capabilities.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in project management or relevant fields
Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project
