Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading and oversight of the Quality, EH&S, Security, and Continuous Improvement professional staff.
  • Drives EHS management of change in current and future processes by partnering with internal and external customers and supporting contractors to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Oversight of the facility hazardous waste management program.
  • Implementation, facilitation, and oversight of strategically selected Corporate Quality Management initiatives, such as ISO 9001 & AS9100 Registration of Quality Management Systems, customer contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Leadership in design and maintenance of Quality Management Objectives & Standards.
  • Development and implementation of Quality Procedures necessary to insure product conformance to customer requirements and report non-conformances appropriately.
  • Communicate topics of Technical/Quality Management significance to all levels and departments.
  • Oversight of the development, creation and implementation of Quality Assurance's own initiatives and upgrades of processes, procedures, forms, reports, and metrics.
  • Review contractual quality requirements and assure compliance via plan implementation.
  • Analyze quality trends and is accountable for assuring a multidiscipline approach to defect prevention and/or correction. This includes establishment and maintenance of an effective closed loop corrective action system.
  • Oversight of the Calibration and Metrology Departments
  • Provide education and mentoring to employees on Lean principles and techniques.
  • Facilitates and leads the Continuous Improvement (CI) facility program and directs initiatives of problem solving, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
  • Delivers agreed upon annual financial savings based on CI initiatives.
  • Oversight of the Facility DOD Security Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 10-15 years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment of high value capital goods, including a background in CI, Engineering, Quality & EH&S.
  • Dynamic and active communicator, specifically the ability to personally lead selected projects and communicate with internal stakeholders and external entities.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9100 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Management ability to develop strategic business initiatives in Quality Management and related areas.
  • Leadership ability on design, maintenance, and improvement of Quality Management Systems.
  • Product knowledge with ability to analyze problems and to establish and/or manage corrective action.
  • Understanding in all phases of metrology, inspection, and test methods.
  • Working knowledge of QA methodologies.
  • Effective writing skills, including proposals, reports, procedures, forms etc.
