Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Process and maintain purchase orders on scheduled date from vendors
Experience working with Domestic and International customers
Must have strong skills in producing correspondence in a timely manner for the purchase order requirements and maintain a professional attitude in the Purchasing department.
Process orders, prepares quotes via phone, email, fax for a variety of machines, reviews large contracts submitted before requisitions are placed in the system.
Coordinate with the customer and vendor in regards to scheduling and delivery
Enter purchasing information and other data into Syteline database
Good communication skills both verbal and written; must be detail oriented, have good organizational skills, work well with others, able to multitask assigned duties.
Responsible for maintenance and retention of assigned Vendor files.
Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Word, Excel, Syteline
Experience required:
Minimum 5 years experience with Purchasing in a manufacturing environment
College degree preferred, but not required
Additional Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager and Outlook
Knowledge of MRP and SYTELINE
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Bilingual - English/Spanish, a plus but not required
