Job Description:
- ???? Process, analyze, and balance payroll for semi-monthly and monthly schedules for selected companies.
- ? Ensure timely settlement of payroll, validating data transmitted to ADP.
- ???? Prepare and generate reports for validation and review of all payrolls, both pre and post-processing.
- ???? Process final termination pay in line with company policy and state regulations.
- ???? Upload expenses and other transactions into Workday.
- ???? Research and respond to internal and external payroll inquiries as needed.
- ???? Perform complex payroll functions, including garnishments and local tax calculations.
- ???? Initiate manual checks and stop payment orders.
- ???? Assist with tracking payroll metrics and other logs.
- ???? Monitor legal and policy changes, conduct periodic payroll self-audits, and maintain data security and confidentiality.
- ???? Assist in training the payroll team.
- ????? Review, analyze, and propose new control processes to ensure high accuracy levels.
- ???? Document current processes and suggest enhancements.
- ????? Assist in preparing various reports, including standard and custom queries and audits, ensuring data integrity.
- ???? Prepare federal, state, and local tax reconciliations after each payroll.
- ???? Back up to assist with reconciliation and review of all tax forms 940, 941, and non-supported returns.
- ???? Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new system features or upgrades.
- ???? Aid in payroll-related audits.
- ?? Escalate issues involving unusual or suspicious activities.
- ???? Coordinate with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and management on payroll matters.
- ???? Support the department with special projects and analytical tasks.
- ???? Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- ???? Bachelor's degree in business.
- ???? Five years of experience in multi-state payroll and tax administration.
- ???? Five years of experience with Workday payroll systems.
- ???? Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
