You are a quant-based marketer with the ability to forecast opportunities, develop statistical significant tests, and recap complex strategies and tests for leadership and business teams via executive summaries backed by data.

You will serve as a key member of the Michael Kors NA Digital Marketing team and are responsible for leading the holistic search strategy for both paid and organic search marketing. This includes executing innovative initiatives across paid search, shopping, and SEO in partnership with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and partnerships with Google and Microsoft. You will help to define the consumer experience from search query to landing page to ensure Michael Kors can maximize opportunities on the SERP efficiently. This role is critical in building out the holistic search vertical for Michael Kors while developing an internal search team and leading external agency partners. You will also be counted on to help define search budget needs and channel targets.

What You'll Do:
  • Create strategy, implement, track, analyze and optimize Paid Search and Shopping campaigns in Google, Microsoft, and other search engines in partnership with external agency. This will include detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in order to increase overall search performance efficiency.
  • Strong command / expertise in managing bid optimization strategies to efficiently increase impression share while hitting financial returns for brand and nonbrand campaigns.
  • Work with third party agency to develop SEM strategy, forecast spend, manage budget, and project revenue
  • Experience optimizing feeds for use in Shopping campaigns.
  • Develop strategic search growth initiatives in partnership with Google and Bing to increase search rank, impression share, click-through rate, and traffic to site.
  • Adopt a test and learn mindset by developing testing opportunities for bid optimizations, landing pages, copy and keywords to increase ROAS, improve efficiency, and drive revenue. This will include working closely with search engines to ensure Michael Kors stays at the forefront of testing and optimization within the search channel.
  • Build a deep understanding of consumer-driven search behaviors to develop the holistic search roadmap, competitive search intelligence and KPI's for performance tracking. This will also include developing joint business plans with external agencies and Google/Bing.
  • Act as subject matter expert in SEM, Shopping, and SEO industry trends and best practices and educate relevant teams. This will include speaking to internal and external stakeholders, with various technical backgrounds, on trends, capabilities, insights, and optimizations.
  • Develop processes to provide ongoing visibility to actionable search-driven consumer insights to cross-functional teams (including digital commerce, merchandising, web production, buying etc.).
  • Support the Director, NA Digital Marketing on developing consumer insight-driven seasonal content strategies, keyword/campaign opportunities, and develop calendar/trackers for overall seasonal marketing strategies and business priorities.
  • Responsible and accountable for NA search performance.

You'll Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of experience leading search marketing initiatives
  • Experience in leveraging site analytics programs for search analysis / insights (Google Adwords, Adobe Omniture).
  • Advanced MS Excel fluency required (pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs)
  • Prior experience building teams and managing, training and mentoring junior staff on all aspects of search marketing and managing internal and external relationships.
