LHH is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for an onsite role located in Elgin, IL. Our client has a global presence and has great opportunities for advancement!
Responsilbites:
Handle month-end closing entries for 2 locations, encompassing purchases, material costs, allocations, and inventory.
Reconcile inter-company data accounts, forwarding month-end closing data to head offices.
Manage accounts payable, including invoice matching, discrepancy resolution, and intercompany wire transfers.
Conduct account reconciliations post-month-close and assist in payroll backup and weekly check runs.
Maintain the G/L for 2 locations, posting cash receipts and reconciling sales while inputting month-end journal entries into JDE.
Update monthly budget performance reports and contribute to quarterly and semi-annual business plan preparations.
Aid in implementing system controls for new financial systems and enhancing existing processes.
Assist in preparing external audit materials and external financial reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in accounting and database software, along with internet and spreadsheet applications.
Familiarity with JDE 9.2 is preferred.
Prior experience in ERP transition/implementation is highly valued.
