Role Description
This is a full-time, possibly hybrid, role as a Loan Officer at SimpLend Mortgage LLC. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for licensed origination activities, assist processing and underwriting on escalations, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This role is primarily based in our Trevose location, but there is flexible work from home options available.
This role is ideal for a Loan Officer in their first five years of originating. SimpLend invests in the best leads available, and is working hard to change how mortgages are done from a technology and customer service aspect. We don't believe in over-analyzing files (we stick to AUS), nor do we believe in hard sales tactics for our clients. We treat our clients like people, not numbers, and we expect our Loan Officers to do the same.
Additionally, this role has tremendous growth potential. We are being decidedly selective with our first hires because we want our first LO's to grow into Team Leaders, Managers, Vice Presidents, and eventually executives as the company grows.
Qualifications
Must be actively licensed as a Loan Officer in at least one of our current states (PA, TX, FL)
Experience in loan origination and customer service
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include:
Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Familiarity with sales software is preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving/reasoning abilities
History of teamwork and collaboration
Special Note
SimpLend is within its first six months of founding. As with any startup (especially one in an industry experiencing significant headwinds), the nature of the position comes with both unique risks and unique rewards.
The job duties above are likely to change to business needs as we grow the company. Change may be experienced rapidly. Additionally, the offered benefits of the company will be somewhat different than what an applicant may experience in a more established company.
