The Accountant is responsible for complex accounting tasks, including the financial statement close process, preparing, and analyzing financial data, reviewing and improving financial workflows, creating financial forecasts, and assisting the Controller and CFO through various projects that support the organization's mission. This highly visible and dynamic position will be instrumental in the company's continued success, with an opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced and growing international organization.
What you will do as an Accountant:
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries
Resolve internal and external discrepancies by making reclassification or adjusting journal entries
Manage monthly deposits and review and approve check runs
Complete monthly bank account reconciliations
Assist the Controller with inventory management and reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for three operating companies and the parent company
Prepare and update standard operating procedure documents to support business continuity and operational efficiency
Maintain the General Ledger chart of accounts and account descriptions
What you will bring to the Accountant role:
Undergraduate degree in accounting
CPA and/or MBA
3+ years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm or private industry
Knowledge and proficiency of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Power BI experience preferred but not required
