This successful, privately-held manufacturer is hiring a Manufacturing Accountant to join their team. The Manufacturing Accountant will report to the General Manager. Daily responsibilities will include:
Managing the A/P process, including matching and reconciling invoices, completing weekly cash runs, reconciling credit cards, data entry of approved A/P invoices, etc.
Owning the A/R process, including completing data entry from ERP to the accounting software system, reconciliation, prepare and send invoices, etc.
Overseeing cash management, including monitoring accounts, transfering funds, negotiating finance terms, etc.
Preparing, consolidating, understanding and analyzing financial statements
Completing financial analysis and reporting findings to management team
Completing reporting within the ERP system and extracting data as needed
Processing month end, ensuring all is complete and sharing results/analysis with the stakeholders
Reviewing year end inventory, WIP, raw materials and finished goods for discrepancies, adjustments and entries
Reviewing international job costing and making needed adjustments
Supplying required packet of information to the external accounting firm for year end completion
Partnering with manufacturing and accounting teams to complete time sensitive projects
Working to improve accounting processes
Other accounting duties as requested by management
This position requires candidates to be at their desk the majority of the day, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor. Individuals should be flexible with work requirements, willing to do their own data entry, be detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects at a time and can pick up new tasks quickly. Requirements for the Manufacturing Accountant:
1. Minimum of an Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
2. Ideally 3-5 years of similar accounting experience
3. Experience performing accounting functions in manufacturing environments
4. Reconciliation and general ledger experience
5. Financial analysis skills
6. Working knowledge of A/R and/or A/P
7. Microsoft Office, including MS Excel
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. ERP experience
2. Tax accounting
3. Cost accounting
4. CPA
