EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant (EA) will ensure that SARRC's President and CEO is a highly efficient leader in service of the organization's dynamic team, committed Board of Directors, generous donors, strategic partners, and supportive community so that SARRC can effectively deliver our mission: to advance research and provide a lifetime of support for individuals with autism and their families. The EA will be extremely well organized; inherently personable; cognizant of the importance of strong relationships; an exceptional communicator (interpersonally, verbally, and written); and a well-regarded representative of the CEO and the organization.

The EA is accountable to the President and CEO and is extremely responsive, anticipates needed support, and initiatives action. The EA is also a trusted partner who maintains confidential and sensitive information; protects the President and CEOs time to ensure focus on the organization's top priorities and initiatives; and represents the President and CEO internally and externally. Finally, the EA will be passionate about and driven by making a meaningful impact.

Your Role at SARRC
  • Exercises independent judgment in relieving the President and CEO of a wide variety of highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative duties.
  • Maintains President and CEOs calendar; schedules internal and external meeting reservations/appointments; organizes, plans, and prepares President and CEO for meetings; handles all restaurant and travel reservations.
  • Serves as the gatekeeper of the CEOs time by screening visitors, requests, and phone calls and politely protects his time.
  • Heavy writing load: composes professional documents which include, but are not limited to, drafting or writing emails; various business and/or cover letters; complex and confidential reports; and meeting minutes.
  • Acts as a minister of culture by assisting the President and CEO in maintaining effective communication with the SARRC team and Board of Directors.
  • Researches, provides information, and maintains database on major individual and corporate donors (and other key business contacts).
  • Organizes and manages projects from start to finish and often coordinates between multiple people.
  • Serves as the Board Liaison and provides confidential administrative support for SARRC's Board of Directors.
  • Develops and maintains highly organized filing system; maintains records and locates files, documents, and other information as necessary.
  • Coordinates with other departments in the preparation of SARRC's weekly communication and leads or assists with implementing and/or executing SARRC events and activities.

Who You Are
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 5 or more years of previous administrative experience (ten years preferred; communications experience preferred).
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in effective communications, particularly with written communication.
  • Must have exceptional integrity and ethics, excellent interpersonal skills, and outstanding verbal and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
  • Performs responsible and difficult administrative work utilizing independent judgement and decision making.
  • Plans and efficiently organizes work in terms of setting and meeting priorities.
  • Interprets and follows oral and written instructions with attentiveness to detail.
  • Excellent writing skills - uses correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Discreetly and tactfully handles confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Accepts regular feedback effectively.

Salary

Starting at $70K

Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday
