Happy Dragon is seeking an education director to collaborate with families to support and share the educational needs of their children w/o delays. Location: Queens and Brooklyn
Education and Related Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree and above required
Previous experience as an Ed director (preferred)
NYS teaching certification in Birth-Grade 2/Special Education in Birth to 2 and School building leader.
A combination of infant, toddler, or preschool teaching experience about 3 years (preferred)
Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director; additional center/school requirements may apply
Skills & Knowledge
Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills, and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff
Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively
Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties
Computer literacy
Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences
Ability to formulate and carry out effective work plans
Ability to facilitate the coordination of multiple tasks and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
Ability to build effective working partnerships
