My client, a prominent player in the energy sector, are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join their team to contribute to the design and optimization of their advanced manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed plant layouts, piping routes, PFDs, and P&IDs using advanced CAD software.
Work collaboratively with engineers and project managers to understand and implement project requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations in all designs.
Conduct site visits for data collection and to verify existing conditions when necessary.
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Provide technical support and design guidance throughout project phases.
Maintain organized documentation and manage design files efficiently.
Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements and industry best practices.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's or associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5+ years of CAD design experience, preferably in the energy sector or related industries.
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Strong understanding of plant layout design, piping systems, PFDs, and P&IDs.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
