Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Professional to join the team as an Product Configurator, at a family-owned manufacturing company near Bedford Park, IL. This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining the custom ERP system.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain price books, inventory (including real-time inventory)
Implement business and manufacturing process automation with ERP System (FeneVision)
Understanding of manufacturing bill of materials (BOM)
Optimize ERP System to meet the company's operation and production needs
Understanding of production machine interfaces (welders, saws, computerized cleaners, glass cutters, automated glass lines)
Assist with data input, import and export
Report writing with Microsoft RDL and the ability to create AD-HOC reports
Creating/maintaining UX for web-based customers
Manufacturing rule writing based on product requirements
Develop and maintain relationships with supporting vendors
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelors in IT, Computer, (or related degree) or relative experience
3+ Years of experience
Proficient in SQL and VB Scripting, VB Studio knowledge preferred -- ability to edit scripts
Experience in manufacturing industry
ERP-type system is required
General IT helpdesk troubleshooting a plus
Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) related to Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of Sage 300, is a PLUS
