Title: Automation Engineer

Duration: Fulltime

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)

Job Description:

QA engineer to help validate Sensor HW and supporting SW features on Apple Products.

The engineer needs to be working from the lab 5 days a week.

Scope:

Work scope involves manual validation of sensor features - develop, design, and execute test cases, and test results in data collection, data analysis, and reporting.

Assumptions:
  • Apple to define the scope of work and provide sign-off on requirements.
  • Vendor to document all requirements, features, and enhancements.
  • Vendor to provide weekly reporting.
  • Apple to sign on deliverables.
  • The vendor team will not have access to production data.

Requirements:
  • Education - BS or higher in EE/CE/CS
  • Experience with testing consumer electronics.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and languages.
  • Design, build and maintain automated test solutions.
  • Experience in executing automation using Python Programming or other languages (preferably Python ) and able to generate quality report
  • Identify, reproduce and report issues with crisp data.
  • Experience analyzing test data.
  • Experience in MATLAB (nice to have)

Success Criteria/Definition of Done:
  • Ability to understand and interpret automation scripts.
  • Execution of test cases both manual and automated scripts.
  • Ability to generate different types of reports based on issues/problems.
  • Ability to engage in discussions with the Apple Test Engineers on the testing results.
  • Ability to capture quality issues and identify regressions.
