Cresset is seeking a Director, Trust Services for the Cresset Trust Company with 10+ years of experience of trust administration or similar financial services experience. The Director leads onboarding and operational aspects of the trust relationships, working closely with trust officers, internal team members, grantors, beneficiaries, attorneys, and their individual advisors within the Cresset Trust Company platform.
Primary Responsibilities:
Trust Relationships
Leads and responsible for onboarding of new trust relationships
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of trust document provisions as well Fiduciary income tax returns
Supports high touch relationships through monitoring timelines and communicating with clients and team members
Monitors and follows up on execution of transactions and documents
Coordinates financial information with advisors, grantors, beneficiaries, attorneys, and/or CPAs, etc.
Assists in maintaining client and advisor communications with trust officers in Sioux Falls
Financial and Reporting
Assists with compiling and reviewing financial information needed for trust reporting and accountings
Partners with trust officers and advisors to coordinate cash needs
Understands Cresset's investment philosophy to partner with Cresset team on mutual clients' needs
Operations
Partners with the client service team to coordinate the onboarding of trust accounts at custodians
Always maintains a high level of compliance standards
Conducts research and analysis
Maintains organization of action items and financial information using Salesforce®

Qualifications and Characteristics:
BA in Finance, Accounting, Law degree or related degree
10+ years of experience in financial services, trust administration, or related industry
Advanced certification, or actively working toward one, preferred (ex: JD, CTFA, CFP®, CPA)
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of client service, ethics, and integrity
Experience with Salesforce® and/or Tamarac and Addepar is a plus
Understands and complies with South Dakota Division of Banking, SEC and other company required rules and regulations
Demonstrates effective speaking and presentation skills with ability to lead meetings with clients
Strong writing proficiency and excellent communication skills
Demonstrates strong numerical aptitude
Possesses outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage and balance multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, and adaptability and flexibility
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work on a team
Proficient with MS Excel, Word and MS PowerPoint
