Smead Capital Management is accepting applications for an Investment Analyst position for its Phoenix office. The job will be a full-time exempt position. The position will report to the Chief Investment Officer.
Job Summary:
The Investment Analyst position will work as an integral member of the Investment Team to engage in the firm's investment research.
Responsibilities: • Create a deep inculcation to the investment philosophy of the firm • Focused on quarterly filings and calls for portfolio holdings. • Regular review and involvement with annotation tied to current and prospective investment holdings. • Understanding of firm's trading systems, processes and vendors • Production of investment analysis for marketing, communication and investor presentations • Build relationships with investor relations contacts • Be a book with legs • Ad hoc projects
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree required. • CFA charter holder preferred • Minimum of three years of investment analysis experience. • Prefer US and Non-US investment experience • Strong writing and communication skills. • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment. • Candidates must be analytical, detail-oriented with a deep passion for the firm's investment philosophy. • Experience with Bloomberg, Factset and other investment software applications. • Must be a reader • Liberal arts majors encouraged to apply
