The paraplanner will assist the financial advisor(s) with the financial planning workflow and delivering an exceptional client service experience. This position requires high standards of professional ethics, compliance with legal/regulatory requirements, and continued advancement of knowledge and skills. Responsibilities and time allocation may change over time to meet the needs of the practice.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Execute securities trades and money movement
Proficient in the six areas of financial planning
Collaboration with clients for data collection and financial planning software input
Collaboration with financial advisor(s) during financial plan design
Prepare financial planning recommendations and product solutions for financial advisor(s) review
Develop portfolio product solution recommendations and product deliverables based on client needs
Advanced knowledge of all financial planning software (NaviPlan, MoneyGuide Pro, Thomson One, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of all technology platforms (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Client Viewer, etc.)
Interface with clients via telephone, email, and in service meetings to answer questions and provide information to them as it related to their accounts and financial plans
Interface with corporate office team members and work together to resolve problems
Submit and integrate relevant compliance documents and initiatives
Track workflows and run reports
Review and update client information and attend/participate in service meetings, as necessary
Maintain regular client contact and resolve client service problems

Education and Designations:
College degree or higher
2+ years of related experience preferred
Able to obtain the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP™) designation
Have or be able to obtain the necessary securities licenses and registrations, including:
Series 7, Series 66, and Alabama life/accident/health insurance
