We are looking to hire a Sr. Java Developer / Lead (Trading Domain) - New York City, NY
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Understand technical specifications
Business requirements discussion with business analyst and business users
Java application development and system design
Execution of UT and SIT with business analysts to ensure of high quality testing
Support for UAT with business users
Primary focus on Java application development and enhancements using Java, Python, SQL, Snowflake DB, Databricks spark/Notebook, Azure Blob storage
Production support to the data analysis platform including the Java application and Tidal scheduler
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
Exceptional Java coding skill and system design/architect skill (10+ years of experience)
Full stack developer is ideal but not mandatory (Strong backend development experience is a must)
Strong experience of JMS, JDBC, REST API, Spring boot
Experienced Azure Blob storage, Maven, and JUNIT
Experience of MXML files and JSON files is a plus
Proficient in SQL query (able to understand and leverage joint, union, stored procedure, etc.)
Proficient Python coding skill
Excellent understanding/experience of SDLC process, CI/CD process using Git, etc.
Agile software development experience using JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr
Familiarity with Databricks and/or Snowflake is a plus
Credit risk/counterparty risk domain knowledge/experience in financial institutions is a plus
Familiarity with financial products and relevant data is a plus
Effective, concise communication skills
Collaborative team player
Self-starter to quickly catch up with minimum support
Passionate about coding and development
