We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CloudOps Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software development and deployment processes, enabling efficient and scalable operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud platforms, automation, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in software delivery.
As an Senior CloudOps Engineer you will:
Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust cloud infrastructure solutions, utilizing industry best practices for high availability, performance, and security.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless software delivery and automated deployments across multiple environments.
Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to define and implement efficient workflows, ensuring the stability and reliability of production systems.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve the efficiency of software development and deployment processes, such as infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems promptly.
Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation, and evaluate their applicability to enhance the existing infrastructure and processes.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies into the DevOps ecosystem.
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
A minimum bachelor's degree is required, although a master's degree is preferred in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred) or Azure including infrastructure provisioning, networking, and security.
Proficiency in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Chef, Packer, or Terraform.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methodologies, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and tooling development.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, ELK stack, or Datadog.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience leading and mentoring junior members of a DevOps team.
