This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity for a Network Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design and Implementation:
Design, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks using Aruba, Meraki, and Cisco technologies.
Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Cloud Integration and Management:
Manage and support cloud-based network solutions in AWS, including VPCs, EC2 instances, and other related services.
Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premises networks with AWS environments.
Automate deployment and management of cloud network resources using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Monitor network performance to ensure the availability and reliability of network services using tools from Aruba, Meraki, and Cisco.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular network performance tuning and capacity planning.
Security Management:
Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Maintain and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across all network devices and cloud environments.
Monitor network security and respond to security incidents using IDS/IPS and firewall solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes.
Prepare reports on network performance, usage, and security incidents.
Develop and maintain network diagrams and architecture documentation.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with other IT team members to support and integrate network solutions with other IT systems.
Provide technical support and training to end-users and other staff members.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the effective delivery of network services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in network administration or a related role.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
Hands-on experience with network hardware from Aruba, Meraki, and Cisco.
Proficiency in managing cloud environments, particularly AWS.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Familiarity with network security practices and tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.
Aruba and Meraki certifications are highly desirable.
