Job Description:

Employment Solutions is partnering with a company that is an industry leader in defense and aerospace component manufacturing to hire a Senior Project Engineer to work onsitein Milford, CT. This is a direct hire full-time position with outstanding benefits!

Are you a leader who ensures consistency in providing products and services that meet customer requirements? In this engineering leadership position, you will also manage internal and external issues, address foreseen risks and opportunities by creating solutions.

Salary range: $120000 - $150000

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates/executes product design/development projects.
  • Supports the manufacturing and engineering departments through tool/process design, prototyping, process development, costing, and ERP system BOM/routing creation and maintenance.
  • Ensure and promote Lean manufacturing techniques are utilized throughout the facility.
  • Supports all by working with customers/sales teams to design/develop products.
  • An active technical advisor/participant in design reviews for new tools and corrective action meetings.
  • Creation/maintenance of product/specification/ERP files (Drawings, ECO's routings, BOM).
  • Coordinates with manufacturing and tool room employees to ensure that customer product and delivery requirements are met within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Participates as a team member of the material review board.

Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (BS Minimum preferred) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience.
  • Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerance requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills & Interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge/understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Communication skills (written, presentation, and oral) across all organizational disciplines.
  • 5 Years minimum project engineering experience in a stamping/fabrication or high-volume repetitive manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in the use of engineering CAD software.
  • AS9100 & IATF 16949:2016 knowledge and certification are a plus.

Due to being in the Defense Industry and an ITAR manufacturing facility, all employees must be a US citizen
