Our client is actively seeking a Controller to lead financial operations from their office in Augusta, Georgia. The individual in this position will be the company's lead accounting officer and the head of the accounting department while reporting directly to the General Manager and Company President. The Controller will oversee the company's financial and accounting functions nationwide.
General Oversight of Financial Items Including:
Financial statements
General ledger
Cost accounting
Payroll
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Budgeting
Special analyses as well as other duties
Responsibilities:
Manage accounting records
Produce financial reports
Communicate with all employees involved in the accounting process
Onboard and maintain finance and accounting software as needed
Formulate company budgets
Ensure that expenses are in line with projected revenue
Extrapolate internal and external data to come up with accurate revenue forecasts
Stay apprised of all the local, state, and federal tax laws and business regulations that affect the company
Qualifications:
10+ years in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Working knowledge of all relevant state/federal laws and regulations
Strong communication and relationship skills
Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills
Employee records management in multi-state organization
