TGC Search is partnered with a top manufacturing company in Oak Creek, WI looking to add a Cost Accountant to their team. This is a newly created role that will focus on both cost accounting and balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring accurate and meaningful financial reporting. Your expertise will help assess the company's performance at various levels, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cost Accounting:
Bill of Materials (BOM) Accuracy
Cost of Sales Reporting and Analysis
Monthly Cost Roll
Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Analysis:
Inventory Reconciliation
Balance Sheet Reconciliation:
Lead the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, inventory, and fixed assets.
Investigate and resolve variances promptly, preparing necessary journal entries for the Controller's review.
Assist in coordinating internal and external audits by providing required documentation and support.
Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a must.
Over two years of progressive experience in accounting roles, ideally blending financial and cost accounting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Skilled in accounting software, with the ability to extract and analyze data from ERP systems using tools like Excel, MS Access, or Power BI.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
