Job Summary: The primary function of the position is to manage the overall General Ledger and Fixed Assets departments.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Verification and approval of Accounting staff journal entries
2) Assist the Assistant Controller with the year-end audit of and assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements
Supervises the General Ledger and Fixed Asset staff
Review sales/use tax procedures frequently for updates and process returns
Perform monthly end closing procedures
Review balance sheet and income statement accounts at month end close
Assist with the preparation of information for Corporate tax returns
Assist Financial Services team with various Accounting and analytical functions
Review monthly account reconciliations and financial statement preparation for all Realty and Aircraft companies and work with independent accounting firm in preparations of tax returns.
