POSITION

Director of Production Operations

COMPANY

DCL Products, LLC and its subsidiaries, Dermatologic Cosmetic Laboratories, LLC, Milbar Laboratories, and WearSPF (DCL) - leaders in beauty products development, manufacturing, e-commerce warehousing and distribution. DCL is a cGMP manufacturer of skincare, SPF products, and OTC products and FDA registered facility. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Production Operations to join our team. This position will oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and that production schedules are met.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide leadership and technical support to maximize throughput and efficiency. Lead a team of Supervisors, Line-Leaders, Mechanics, and Associates to ensure the delivery of quality products. Develop cross-trained team to provide maximum flexibility.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and direct the daily activities of the production and manufacturing operations.
  2. Make sound operational decisions quickly based on limited information availability.
  3. Prepare manufacturing jobs based on customer purchase orders.
  4. Prepare production schedule in collaboration with procurement, finance, and compounding functions.
  5. Maximize line efficiency through line balancing, automation, and sequencing thereby reducing per unit costs.
  6. Create new part set up and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM).
  7. Lead, participate, and be senior representative during customer line trials.
  8. Monitor, report, and improve throughput, downtime, scrap rates and line KPIs on output metrics.
  9. Maintain cGMP and OSHA compliant work area.
  10. Ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
  11. Hire, train staff continuously to drive culture and performance..
  12. Other duties as assigned by Operations.


Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Packaging or Mechanical) or Supply Chain, preferred not required.
  2. Minimum 3 year's supervisory experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
  3. Creative problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude.
  4. Superior written & verbal skills (Spanish a plus).
  5. Advanced excel, math & data organizing skills.
  6. Proficient in MS Office.
  7. Able to work independently & extended hours as needed.
